OUR HISTORY
Redwood Ascent will be running it's first programs in the summer of 2025! After two years helping bring the Rocky Mountain Ascent mission into fruition, our amazing teammates Journee and Kellen have decided to bring the mission to their home in Humboldt county, California. We are so excited for this next step in our journey, and are grateful for the opportunity to get more kids outside.
OUR FUTURE
Over the next few years, we will be working hard to establish a solid foundation for our California program to thrive. We will start by offering off-site excursions over the summer, and as our roots grow, so too will our programs!

Journee Eib
Journee has been serving Rocky Mountain Ascent as Program Coordinator since 2023, and can't wait to continue her work by establishing Redwood Ascent. Journee earned her Bachelor's degree in Recreation Administration, and has extensive professional experience both coordinating and guiding outdoor trips. Her outdoor recreation experience and huge heart have set up her up perfectly to take on this new, exciting endeavor.

Kellen Wilson
Kellen has always had a heart for mentoring youth, and is gifted in sharing his wide range of outdoor adventure, survival, and trade skills. Serving Rocky Mountain Ascent as Project Coordinator since 2023, we are so grateful that Kellen has committed to ushering in this new phase of the organization's life.

Whether you work in a residential treatment center or are a foster parent yourself, we recognize the strength of heart it takes to do your work. These retreats are our way of supporting you on your path to creating a more loving future. All retreats within our mission of serving at-risk youth are at no cost, thanks to our amazing community of donors and supporters.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR OUR RETREATS?

We work directly with agencies and organizations who serve at-risk youth. A few examples are:

- Residential care facilities

- Foster care agencies

- Youth shelters
